Helen Ferradino, 96, formerly of Girard, passed away on Friday, March 27, 2015 at Vista Center at the Ridge in Mineral Ridge, Ohio, only days before her 97th birthday. Helen was born April 1,1918 in Coalburg, Ohio, the daughter of George and Mary Turk Pucak. She had worked for Packard Electric for 30 years as an inspector, retiring in 1980. Helen was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard, and formerly of the Girard Senior Citizens, St. Rose Senior Citizens, and the Seven-Seventeen Retiree Credit Union. She is survived by her daughters, Stephanie (Carl) Lipski, of Brook Park, Ohio, and Marilyn (Charles) Newton, of Catonsville, Maryland, five grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren and six great-great-grandchildren; brothers William and Richard and sisters; Marge Hoff, Toni O'Bruba and Barbara Best .Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Charles, whom she married May 27, 1939 and died Jan. 27, 2004, brothers; John, Emil, George, Carl and Robert, and Sisters; Mary Delory, Viola Guest, Emily Evans, Dorothy Paul and Betty Yourchisin. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 30th, 12:00 PM, at Blackstone Funeral Home officiated by Msrg. John Zuraw. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 10:00 AM until the time of service. Helen will be laid to rest in Girard City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family requests any material contributions be made to a charity of choice in Helen's memory.
