Helen J. Hetson

Helen J. Hetson, 84, passed away suddenly at Trumbull Regional Medical Center following a brief illness on Tuesday, January 18th . Helen was born May 27, 1937 in Youngstown, a daughter of the late Marion and Doris (Shannon) Deck. She attended The Rayen School, class of 1956. She retired from Packard Electric Delphi after 20 years.

Helen was a member of the Republican Club and the Garden Club of Hubbard. She is described by family and friends as a warm, and compassionate woman that always put others first. She was an excellent seamstress who also enjoyed crocheting and crafts. She shared her love of camping with her family and created lasting friendships and fond memories over the years. One of her strengths included her willingness to master new recipes that she could share. Her greatest love was for her family.

She will be missed by her husband Leonard Hetson whom she married in March 1975; children, Kim Anderson, James (Nancie) DeRaud, and Douglas (Marilyn) DeRaud. She also had three stepsons, Gregory (Linda) Hetson, Jeffrey (Mary) Hetson and Eric (Diane) Hetson. Helen also leaves eight grandchildren and three great-grandchildren along with her Aunt and Cousins from Cleveland.

Beside her parents, Helen is preceded in death by her sister, Joan Deck and brother, David Deck.
