Helen M. Keagy, 64, of Girard, passed away Tuesday, March 14, 2017 at her residence. Helen was born August 21, 1952 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Lawrence and Mary Ann (Carbone) Carson. Helen had owned and operated Keagy's Kut and Kurl in Girard, but for most of Helen's life she was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She was a member of St. Rose Church and the Catholic Women's Society. She enjoyed traveling with her husband, crafts and spending time with the grandchildren. She will leave a legacy of love and service for others. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband James R. Keagy, whom she married October 6, 1973, her children; Jacqueline M. (Ken) Phillips of Columbus, Jennifer A. Keagy of Columbus and James J. "Scooter" (Kelli) Keagy of Girard, her granddaughters; Kennedy Phillips and Chloe Keagy, her sister, Phil (Jim) Quinn of Girard and brothers, Andrew (Judy) Carson of New York and Larry (Mary) Carson of Girard and her nieces and nephews, Andy, Larry, Laurie, Linda, Barb, Marlene, Megan, and Michael (her godson). She is preceded in death by her parents, her step-father, Joseph Carson, her sisters; Rose Miller and Mary Jo Carson and her brother, Jerry Carson. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, March 18th, 11:00 AM at St. Rose Church, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 9:00- 11:00 AM. Helen will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery. The family requests any memorial contributions be made to St. Rose Church Memorial Fund in Helen's memory.
