Helen M (Kroliski) Kuzman

Helen M. Kuzman, 87, of Girard, passed away on Tuesday, January 24, 2017 at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. Helen was born September 7, 1929 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Peter and Julia (Zyvar) Kroliski. Helen owned and operated Kuzman's Bar in Girard with her late husband for over 50 years. She was a graduate of Girard High School and a member of St. Rose Church in Girard. Helen was member of the Catholic Women's Association and Mount Carmel Society. She loved polka music and dancing with her husband. She was named "Women of the Year" in 2013 for the Penn Ohio Polka Pals. Her husband, John J. Kuzman Sr., whom she married January 22, 196, passed away on August 28, 2010. She leaves her brother Joseph (Joann) Kroliski of Amherst and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband John, and two sisters, Mary Kollar and Fran Kollar. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 30th, at St. Rose Church in Girard with Msgr. John Zuraw officiating. Family will receive relative and friends on Sunday at Blackstone Funeral Home from 2:00- 5:00 p.m. Helen will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery next to her husband.
