Helen M Reger

Helen M. Reger, 87, of McDonald, died Tuesday April 2, 2013 at her residence.  She was born November 15, 1925, the daughter of the late Edmund B. and Helen LePiere Best.  Helen formerly worked for Girard Hardware and Trumbull County Board of Elections.  She was a member of the Woodland Park United Methodist Church in McDonald were she was a Sunday school teacher for many years and was involved in Missions Commissions at the church for 30 years.  Helen was also a volunteer at Ronald McDonald House.  She is survived by her sons, James (Judy) Reger and David (Becki) Reger both of McDonald, granddaughter, Staci Lynn Reger of McDonald, sisters, Mildred (George) Brocht of Blue Bell, PA, and Shirley (Walt) Offermann of Lititz, PA, brothers, Joe (Marion) Best of Sun City West, AZ, Bob (Pat) Best of Georgetown, Tx, George Best of Melbourne, FL, and Jack Best to Saegertown, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband Marshall Reger whom she married February 22, 1947 and died December 28, 1967 and brother Edmund Best.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday April 8th at 11:00 am at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  Family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday from 2-4pm.  Interment will be held at Girard City Cemetery.  Family request that material contibutions be made to the church memorial fund or American Cancer Society.
