Howard R. Fritz

Howard R. Fritz Sr., 83, of Vienna, passed away at his home on Monday, June 20, 2016. Howard was born March 29, 1933, in North Lima, Ohio, the son of George A. and Helen Oliver Fritz. Howard had worked for Isaly's as a supervisor for 16 years. He then worked for Komara Electronics for 14 years and also A-1 Telecom in Girard for 7 years. Howard was also a volunteer fireman for the Girard Fire Department and was a member and past-president for the Girard Lions Club. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former Edna Smith, whom he married February 10, 1997, his sons, George Fritz of Girard, and Greg (Tammy) Fritz of Largo, Florida, a Daughter-in-law Cynthia Fritz of Niles, step-son David (Becky) Saylor, his sister, Ruth Hill of Girard, six grandchildren; Allison (Jim) Pruchniewcz, Jason (Tracie) Fritz, Michael (Heather) Fritz, Shannon (Ahmed) Ali, Kaitlyn Fritz and Jacob Fritz, step-grandson Frankie Saylor, five great-grandchildren and two step-great-grandchildren. Howard is preceded in death by his parents, his son, Howard R. Fritz Jr., his sisters, Doris Baer and Edith O'Connell and a grandson Zachary. As per Howard's wishes, cremation has taken place and there are no services.
