Inis B. (Penza) Callard

Inis B. Callard, 99, of Girard, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 4, 2018, at Liberty Health Care Center. Inis was born September 18, 1919, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Sebastian and Perina (Tancredi) Penza. She had worked 38 years for the city of Girard mayor’s office, serving five mayors as their secretary, and retiring in 1988. Inis was a member of St. Rose Church, Mt. Carmel Society, and St. Rose Senior Citizens. She leaves to cherish her memory, her daughters, Barbara Winowich, of Girard, and Elaine (George) Hager, of Collegeville, Pa., two grandsons, Eric and Geoffrey Hager, and four great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband, William J. Callard, whom she married May 8, 1944, and died November 13, 1966, and her brothers, Naldo, Enio, John, Anthony and Ranzi Penza. As per Inis’s wishes, there will be no services.
