Irene M. Rearick, 86, of Girard, passed away October 15, 2014 at Omni Manor Nursing Home. Irene was born October 22, 1927 in Clearfield, Pennsylvania, the daughter of the late Henry and Mildred Drug Merrell. She is survived by her daughters; Lynn Machel and Beverly Hoover, both of Girard, sister; Nellie Rutter of PA., Karen Kephart of NJ and Jean Ritzie of PA., brother Richard Merrell of Florida, five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Irene is preceded in death by her husband, Ralph R. Rearick, whom she married May 1, 1948 and died Nov. 11, 2001, her son Thomas Rearick and nine sisters and brothers. A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, October 25th, 12:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the time of service. Irene will be laid to rest at Greenhaven Cemetery.
