Jackie Haydu

Jackie Haydu 85, of Niles formerly of Girard, died Tuesday April 9, 2013 at The Manor at Autumn Hills.  She was born December 14, 1927 in Girard the daughter of the late Jack and Ethel Vaughn Lavin.  She was a member of the Girard First United Methodist Church, Lydia Circle, was very involved in church functions for many years and a volunteer for Red Cross for over 30 years.  Jackie enjoyed gardening, crafts and especially her time with the grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter, Holly Cooper of Howland and son, Chip (Valerie) Haydu of Orlando, FL, her grandchildren, Morgan (Shawn) Bagley, Kasey (Michael) Weymer, Clay Cooper, Sarah Haydu & Schyler Haydu and her sister-in-law Peggy (Tom) Boyarko.  She was preceded in death by her husband Ernest M. Haydu whom she married June 5, 1954 and died May 5, 2005 and sister Betty Pieron.  A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday April 13, 2013 at 12:00 noon at the Girard First United Methodist Church. Family will recieve relatives and friends from 11:00 am till time of service. Arrangements were entrusted to Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
