Jacqueline Breznai, 74, of Hubbard, passed away peacefully on Monday, December 6, 2021 at Saint John XXIII Home. Jacqueline was born July 31, 1947 in Salem, Ohio a daughter to the late Clarence and Billie (Sauerwein) Shambaugh. As a daughter of an Ohio State patrolman, she moved numerous times to locations all across Ohio in her youth. Her fond memories of her times in school were at Massillon Washington High School and Newton Falls High School where she graduated in 1965 and later attended Ohio University.
Early in Life she worked in communication sales, and for the Ohio State Highway Patrol and Warren Police in various administrative capacities. Subsequently she retired from a long and successful career in the Oil and Gas extraction industry, working in Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan and Wyoming. Jacqueline and her husband Joe lived in Girard and later lived in Buffalo, Wyoming for many years until 2019 when they moved to Hubbard.
Jacqueline loved to read, among her favorites were history and mysteries. She enjoyed taking care of her cats and dogs, traveling, architecture, genealogy and enjoyed historical research and mapping based upon her reading.
She is survived by her husband, Joseph Breznai, who she married March 31, 1999; Bonus children, Jennifer (Jeff) Jornigan and Christopher (Tabitha) Breznai and always a grandmother to: Seth, McKayla, and Rihanna Jornigan; and David Breznai, along with her loving cousins.
In accordance with Jacqueline's wishes there will be no services. She will be laid to rest at Oakdale Cemetery in Leetonia. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to St Francis Animal shelter that is in Buffalo Wyoming.
