James H Mosier

James H.Mosier, 74, of Girard, passed away on Sunday October 6, 2013 at his residence.  Jim was born May 16, 1939 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Dana F. and Blanche E. Wormer Mosier.  He had worked for Youngstown Welding and Engineering for 27 years as the superintendant of maintenance and then for Jefco Industries in Columbiana as vice-president of operations, retiring in 2004.  Jim was a 1957 graduate of Girard High School, a member of the First United Methodist Church in Girard, William Farr Masonic Lodge #672 F&AM, American Welding Society and the Hudson-Essex-Terraplane Club.  He is survived by his wife, the former, Karen Keckes, whom he married February 7, 1964, sons James (Cheryl) Mosier of Austintown and John Mosier of Akron and grandchildren Alex, Elizabeth and Matthew.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, October 10th, 11:00 AM at the First United Methodist Church.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 5-8PM at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard and also on Thursday from 10 - 11AM at the church.  A Masonic Service will be held on Wednesday at 7:45 PM at the funeral home.   Interment will take place at Girard City Cemetery.  The family requests any material contributions be made to Hospice of the Valley or First United Methodist Church memorial fund.  Visit www.blackstonefuneralhome.com to view this obituary and to send condolences to the Mosier family.
