James B. Nabors, 95, of Boardman, formerly of Girard, passed away on Tuesday February 25, 2014 at St. Elizabeth Hospital in Boardman.  James was born December 28, 1918 in Dumas, Mississippi, the son of the late Lonnie F. and Louetta Hodges Nabors.  James graduated from Mississippi State University in 1942 and joined the Army serving his country during WWII.  After the service he worked as an  insurance adjuster for Underwriters Insurance and retired from Gallagher-Pipino Agency of Youngstown. James was a member of St. Charles Church in Boardman and a former member of St. Rose Church in Girard, the American Legion Post #235 where he was a past Commander and was also on the Legion's Drill Team for many years.  He was a former member of Fonderlac Country Club and enjoyed playing golf.  James leaves to cherish his memory his wife, the former, Josephine Malito, whom he married October 13, 1943, his daughters, Linda (Dennis) Moore of Howland and Peggy (Bob) Dolwick of Liberty Twp, grandchildren Brian and James Moore, Melissa Starkey, Todd and David Dolwick and ten great-grandchildren.  He is preceded in death by his sister Doris Freeman and granddaughter Mary Jo Dolwick.  A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday March 1st, 11:00 AM at St. Charles Church in Boardman.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the church.  The family requests any material contributions be made to St. Charles Church or the Hospice House.  James will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery with military honors.
