James W Price

James W. Price, 80, of Weathersfield Twp., passed away on Friday, September 25, 2015, at his home surrounded by his family. Jim was born September 8, 1935 in Madison, West Virginia, the son of Joda and Goldie Stratton Price. He retired as a Regional Sales Manager from Rotor Tool Company and was a Weathersfield Twp Trustee for 16 years. Jim was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church , William Farr Masonic Lodge #672 F&AM, American Legion Post #235, the VFW of Girard, the Knights of Columbus of McDonald, the Jefferson Democratic Club and the Cleveland Browns Backers. Jim served his country in the Air Force National Guard and the US Army. He leaves to cherish his memory, wife his, the former, Nancy L. Scott, whom he married February 18, 1956, his children; William "Bill" Price of Austintown, Shelda (John) Mattessich, of Orlando, Florida and Robbie (Christine) Price of Erie, Pa., sisters; Mary Stone, of Danville, WV, Gladys Collins, of Liberty Twp., and Janet Yeager, of Madison, WV, grandchildren; Derek, Danielle, Ashley, James, Devin and Samantha, a great-granddaughter Allie, and his faithful companion, his dog, Snickers. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother, Joseph Price. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday, September 29th, 10:00 AM at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, preceded by a prayer service, 9:30 AM, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. A Masonic service will be held at 7:45 PM on Monday.
