Janet L. (Goist) Buterbaugh

Janet L. Buterbaugh, 74, formerly of Girard, passed away on Monday, September 18, 2017 at Autumn Hills. Janet was born November 21, 1942 in Youngstown, the daughter of William and Edith (Hill) Goist.
Janet worked as a Certified Technician at Northside Hospital for 27 years prior to retiring. She was a member of the Multi Generation Center and the Jewish Center. Janet was creative and a free spirit. She endeared fancy hats, horses, reading poetry, playing cards and BINGO. In her later years, she spent her time composing abstract paintings.
She leaves her siblings Marsha Hays of Girard and Phares W. Goist of Struthers and many nieces and nephews. Besides her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her husband Thomas Burterbaugh, whom she married May 9, 1981 and died January 7, 2015.
A memorial service will be held on Thursday, September 28, 2017 at 6:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
