Janet E. (Bonam) Fynes

Janet E. Fynes, 79, of Girard, passed away peacefully at her home on Saturday, December 31, 2016. Janet was born October 24, 1937 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Herman and Kathryn (Bunnell) Bonam. Janet devoted her life to raising her children and taking care of her family.  Janet was a very active member of the First Christian Church. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband of 61 years, Harry J. Fynes Sr., whom she married June 20, 1955, her children; Harry J. "Skip" Fynes Jr. of Girard, Kathryn (Frank) Migliozzi of Girard, Thomas (Adrian) Fynes of Bremerton, WA. and Daniel (Tracie) Fynes of Garrettsville, Ohio, her sister Karyl Areford of Washington, County, PA, her brothers, Bill Evans of Youngstown and Norman (Treva) Bonam of Burlington, MN., six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Besides her parents, Janet is preceded in death by her granddaughter Courtney and sister Dee Stein. Funeral services will be held on Friday, January 6th, 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5-7 PM at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Janet will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery. The family requests any memorial contributions be made to the First Christian Church memorial fund.
