Janet L. Zielinski, 62, of North Jackson, passed away on Saturday, September 12, 2015 at Northside Hospital of a sudden illness, with her family by her side. Janet was born April 4, 1953, in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Steve and Betty Campbell Schlosser. Janet devoted her life to managing the McDonald Credit Union for 42 years. Her commitment to the business and community of McDonald was unprecedented. Janet enjoyed riding her Harley's with Ron and especially the Hamsters USA and friends across the country. She loved to travel and especially looked forward to her Sturgis and Cape Cod trips. She was a wonderful baker,and had a special recipe for every occasion. She leaves the love of her life, her husband of 42 years, Ron Zielinski, whom she married October 21, 1972, sister, Carol J. Bejzak of Austintown, brothers, Steve J. Schlosser of Wingate, NC, and James (Norma) Schlosser of Kettering, Ohio, mother-in-law, Nola Zielinski of Boardman, father-in-law Walt Zielinski of Youngstown, nieces, Michelle Courtney and Lisa Clegg, nephews, Greg Schlosser and Brian Schlosser, her favorite Aunt Ella Mae Carrera of Ellsworth, and several great-nieces and nephews, cousins and many friends that will sadly miss Janet. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her brothers Jerry and Robert Schlosser and her fur babies, Bear, Lacey, Tara and King. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at 8:00 PM, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5:00 PM until the time of service.
