Jason C. Grimaldi

Jason C. Grimaldi, 41, of Girard, passed away suddenly on Friday, March 31, 2017 at St. Elizabeth's Hospital in Youngstown. Jason was born July 6, 1975 in Youngstown, Ohio. Jason was an autoworker for 17 years at General Motors. As a member of the McKinley Heights Fire Department in 1992, Jason found his passion, and in 2011 continued his service to the community as a volunteer firefighter for the Village of McDonald. He was a member of Union Local #1714 and served on the By-Laws Committee, McDonald Firefighters Social Organization, Ohio State Firefighters Association, Masonic Lodge and Blank & Shear. Jason enjoyed his time spent with his family the most, and was a devoted father and good friend to many. He enjoyed traveling and supported the Rust Belt Theater. He is survived by his father, Frank (Carylon) Grimaldi of Boardman, his mother, Paulette Thomas of Mineral Ridge, children; Mathieu D. Grimaldi of Howland, Allissa N. Grimaldi of Howland, Aiden M. Mullarkey of Struthers, Kyley A. Schindler of Girard, Talia R. Grimaldi of Girard and Vincenzo M. Grimaldi of Girard, sisters; Kelly L. (Raymond) Butler of Avon, IN, and Stefanie N. Grimaldi of Youngstown and all his brothers and sisters of McDonald and Weathersfield Fire Department. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2017, 4:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
