Jean Elyn Summers

Jean Elyn Summers, 87, of Girard, passed away on Monday, July 27, 2020 at her residence. Elyn was born January 12, 1933 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Sam and Dorothy (Bird) Summers. She graduated from Youngstown College with her Bachelor's Degree and Westminister College with her Master's Degree.  Elyn had worked as a school teacher for Youngstown City Schools for over thirty years retiring in 1985. She was a member of Girard First United Methodist Church and it's Lydia Circle and State Teachers Retirement System. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 31st, 11:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home. Elyn will be laid to rest at Tod Homestead Cemetery.
