HUBBARD – Jerry G. Arthur, 74, formerly of Girard, passed away Monday, May 21, 2012, at Liberty Health Care Center. He was born March 13, 1938, in Huntington, W.Va., the son of the late Carl and Dorothy McCoy Arthur. He was a veteran in the Navy. He worked for U.S. Steel and McDonald Steel for 50 years. Jerry was a member of the Church of the Rock in Poland and the Girard and Niles Fraternal Order of Eagles. He enjoyed traveling and fishing, watching westerns starring John Wayne and singing along with Johnny Cash. He is survived by his wife, the former Brenda Thomas, whom he married Oct. 28, 2006; daughter, Lisa (Steve) Sicilian of Liberty Township and Linda (Robert) Brammer of Huntington, W.Va.; a son, Jerry Arthur of Huntington; step daughters, Heather Seno of Youngstown and Kelly Huffman of Hubbard; grandchildren, Steven, Justin, Carly Sicilian, Shawn and Zachary Brammer, Annika Smith, Ava, London and Delilah Seno. He was preceded in death by his first wife, Carol A. Mills Arthur, whom he married April 10, 1963, and she passed away June 28, 2005; sister, Martha Arrowood; and brother, Buddy Arthur. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, May 24, 2012, at 11 a.m. at the Blackstone Funeral Home. Family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 5 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
