John J. Bevilacqua, 58, of Girard, passed away on Thursday at Akron General Medical Center. John was born on October 3, 1958 in Youngstown, Ohio, the son of the late Nicholas and Theresa (Lucilio) Bevilacqua. John was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard and a 1977 graduate of Girard High School.
John worked for Syro Steel for 20 years and after was an entrepreneur, owning a BP in Cortland and co-owning a Used Car Dealership in Girard, Austintown, and Youngstown. John's greatest accomplishments were his family and his involvement in the community of Girard. He was a Girard Mushball and Girard Little Indians coach, President of the Trumbull County Youth Football League for 11 years, a Girard Councilman, and a member of the Knights of Columbus.

(DiIullo) Bevilacqua of Girard , his children; April C. (Allen) Bevilacqua of Georgia, John L. (Cheri) Bevilacqua of Florida, and Aaron A. Bevilacqua of Cleveland, his sisters; Tina Gavin and Phyllis (Jim) Moore both of Cuyahoga Falls and Tami (Elliott) Moadus of North Carolina, and his grandchildren Alexis, Emily, and Allen Jr ("AJ")
John is preceded in death by his parents. A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Tuesday July 11 at 11:00 Am at St. Rose Church preceded by a prayer service at 10:30 am at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Family and friends will be received on Monday at the funeral home from 5-7 PM. Interment will be held at Girard City Cemetery. The family would like to thank the "4200" unit staff at Akron General Medical Center for the wonderful care and outpouring of love and support for John.
