John “Jack” Davidson, 86, of Bazetta, passed away on Wednesday, October 9, 2024 in the comfort of his home.
Jack was born August 27, 1938 in Youngstown, Ohio, a son to the late Robert and Dorothy (Wright) Davidson.
He was a high school graduate of South High School.
Jack worked as an RV service technician until his retirement.
Throughout his life, Jack was a master woodworker, demonstrating remarkable skill and artistry in his creations. His passion for woodworking extended beyond traditional projects which included boat building. Jack approached each project with dedication and an eye for detail, creating pieces that were not only functional but also beautiful.
In addition to his artistic pursuits, Jack cherished the great outdoors. He and his wife, Shirlee, shared countless adventures exploring scenic landscapes and serene campsites in their RV, as well as embarking on a multitude of cruises together.
Jack leaves to cherish his memory his wife of 52 years, Shirlee (Mansfield) Davidson, who he married March 18, 1972; his children, Jeffrey (Karen) Davidson of Fredericktown, Ohio, and Julie Botzenhart of Girard; sister, Judy McCartney of Canfield; and grandchildren, Dylan Botzenhart, Rachel Davidson, Owen Botzenhart, Mark Davidson, and Ethan Botzenhart.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Saturday, October 12th, from 11-1 at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, followed by a funeral service starting at 1:00 PM.
Jack will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
