John Grosbeck

John Grosbeck, 93, of McDonald, passed away on Tuesday, June 30, 2015, at Groves Center in Lake Wales, Florida.  John was born March 5, 1922 in Girard, the son of Charles and Frances Langham Grosbeck. He had worked in the shipping and receiving deparment for US Steel, McDonald Works, for 40 years.  John enjoyed traveling, fishing and boating on Lake Erie and also in Florida for many years.  He was an Army Airforce veteran, serving his country during WW II.  He married, Adeline Marie Gallo, on September 6, 1941. They enjoyed 65 years of marriage until Adeline's death on September 9, 2006.  He leaves to cherish his memory, his sons, John C. (Carol) Grosbeck of Lake Wales, Florida, and Thomas E. (Karlene) Grosbeck of Canfield, a siser Jean McKinstry, of Girard, grandchildren; Chris, John and Jeannine and a great-granddaughter Candi.  Besides his wife and parents, he is preceded in death by his brother Edward.  Memorial services will be held on Saturday, July 25th, 11:00 AM, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.  John will be interred at Girard City Cemetery.
