John A. Knez Sr., 55, of Warren, passed away on Friday March 21, 2014 at Northside Hospital. John was born May 17, 1958 in Youngstown, the son of the late John and Josephine Klepec Knez. John had previously worked at Copperweld Steel as a crane operator. He enjoyed fishing, and his favorite teams, Ohio State, Dallas Cowboys and the Lakers. He is survived by his children, John A. Jr. of Las Vegas, and Jessica Knez (Brandon Smith) of Austintown, brother David Knez (Dan Law) of Pittsburgh, Pa., sister Kathy (Michael) White of Biglerville, Pa. and former wife Rhonda Knez of Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 6-8PM at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. There will be a prayer service held at 8:00 PM.
