John "Jack" Lamm

John C. "Jack" Lamm, 80, of Girard, passed away at his home on Monday, March 21, 2016. Jack was born August 12, 1935, in Scranton, Pa., the son of Carl and Esther Peck Lamm. He worked in the paint department at General Motors, retiring in 1998, after 33 years. He was a member of the Girard First United Methodist Church and was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict. Jack loved golfing and enjoyed spending quality time with his family, especially his grandchildren. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former, Cheryl D. Alderman, his children; Carl (Karen) Lamm of Austintown, Robin (Dan) Centofanti of Hartford, Ohio and John (Kimberlee) Lamm of Girard and his six grandchildren and two sisters. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his brother. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, March 24th, 1:00 PM at the First United Methodist Church, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 12:00 PM until the time of service. Jack will be laid to rest at Kerr Cemetery with military honors. The family requests memorial contributions can be made to the church memorial fund in Jack's memory.
