Joseph J. Guarino Sr., 86, passed away Monday, August 15, 2016 at his residence. Joseph was born January 19, 1930 in Niles, Ohio, the son of Dominic and Antionette Mauro Guarino. He retired after 32 years as a steelworker for LTV Steel. Joseph was a member of St. Rose Church, St. Rose Seniors and United Steelworker SOAR. Joseph was a United States Air Force veteran. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, woodworking, and gardening. He is survived by his wife, the former, Susan Menegos, whom he married November 13, 1953, his son Joseph James (Sandra) Guarino Jr., of McDonald, son Dominick Anthony (Jacquelyn), of Hubbard, and daughter Susana (Kenny) McKeithan, of Summerville, South Carolina, his sister, Rosemarie (Arthur) Kalman of Howland, his grand-children Joseph Guarino III, Annette Guarino, and Krista (Nathan) Fagan, and his great-grandson Anthony J. Guarino. Besides his parents, he is preceded in death by his sisters Mary Mozzillo, Eliabeth Mozzillo, Carmel Bellitt and brothers, John Guarino and Sam Guarino. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 19th, 10:00 AM at St. Rose Church, preceded by a prayer service at 9:30 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard.
