Joseph M. Harryhill

January 31, 1931 — February 21, 2019

Joseph M. Harryhill, 88, of McDonald, went to be with the Lord on, Thursday, February 21, 2019, at Briarfield at Ashley Circle in Austintown. Joe was born January 31, 1931, in Youngstown, the son of Joseph and Sarah (Conroy) Harryhill. He proudly served his country in the Army during the Korean War. Joseph retired from RMI, in Niles. He was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help, in McDonald, and was on the Girard Senior Golf League. He was an avid fan of Duke Blue Devils basketball, and the Ohio State Buckeyes. Joe was a loving husband and devoted father.  He leaves to cherish his memory his children, Dr. Joseph F. (Francine) Harryhill, of Philadelphia, Patricia (Dr. Ernest) DeChellis, of Novelty, Ohio, Therese ( Robert) Darnley, of Mineral Ridge, and Martin Harryhill, of Lake Worth, Florida, his sister, Irene Kunkel, of McDonald, his grandchildren, Paul, Ross, Frankie, Angelo, Elizabeth, and John, and his great grandson Cayden.
Joe is preceded in death by his wife, the former, Mary Ann Tauro, whom he married April 18, 1959 and died November 1, 2009, his sisters, Joan Kyle and Sarah Killbourne and his brother, Norman Harryhill.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Monday, February 25, 10:00 AM, at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church, preceded by a prayer service at 9:30 AM, at Blackstone Funeral Home. The family will receive relatives and friends on Sunday, February 24, from 4-7PM, at the Blackstone Funeral Home.
