Joseph E. Sankey III

Joseph E. Sankey III, 55, of Girard, passed away early Sunday morning on March 2, 2025, at the University Hospital, surrounded by his devoted family.

Joe was born December 4, 1969 in Warren, Ohio. He was the son of Joseph E. Sankey and Kathy (Zordich) Sankey.

Joe was a 1989 graduate of Girard High School. After school he pursued a lifelong career of driving trucks. Joe could drive any kind of truck and was last employed at Mother Trucker Co.

He was a member of Rust City Church in Niles. Joe's passions were his four wheelers, shooting, swimming and fishing. He will be well known for his devotion to his family and friends.

Besides his father, Joseph E. Sankey II ( Anita Gore), he leaves to cherish his memory, his children, Jessica, Alyssa Froomkin, Joseph L. Sankey (Abbey), and Kaitlyn Sankey; sisters, Debbie (Ed) Schuller, Cheryl Donahue and Kathleen Sankey (fiancee Joseph Fonce); grandchildren, Bennett and Russell Froomkin; and many nieces and nephews.

Joe is preceded in death by his mother, Kathy and his grandparents

There will be a celebration of life on Sunday March 9th from 1-3 at the ITAM #30 at 2354 Youngstown Rd. SE Warren, Ohio 44484.

The family suggests that any material contributions for Joe can be made to the Animal Welfare League of Trumbull County, 812 Youngstown-Kingsville Rd. SE Vienna, Ohio 44473 in memory of Joe's love for animals.
