Josephine (Malito) Nabors

Josephine Nabors, 96, of Liberty Twp., formerly of Boardman, passed away on Monday, November 29, 2016 at the Hospice House. Josephine was born March 19, 1920 in Girard, Ohio, the daughter of Carl and Concetta Malito. Josephine retired from St. Elizabeth Hospital as a Registered Nurse after many years. Josephine served her country in the Army Air Force serving as a flight nurse during WWII. She was a member of the St. Rose Church, a former member of St. Charles Church in Boardman, a member of the Catholic Nurse Association and a volunteer for the Red Cross for  over 50 years. She was a member of Fonderlac Country Club and enjoyed golfing. Josephine is survived by her children, Linda (Dennis) Moore of Howland, and Peggy (Bob) Dolwick of Girard, grandchildren, Brian and James Moore, Melissa Starkey, and Todd and David Dolwick. She is preceded in death by her husband, James B. Nabors, whom she married October 13, 1943 and died February 25, 2014, her sisters; Rose Malito, Jenny Ciambrone, and Emily Pialorsi, and brothers, Louis, Dominic, and Carl Malito; granddaughter, Mary Jo Dolwick. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Thursday, December 1st,11:00 AM, at St. Rose Church in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 10:00 AM until the time of the service.
