Josephine Rapcinko, 83, of Youngstown, passed away on Thursday, July 20, 2017 at Briarfield Manor in Austintown. Josephine was born December 7, 1933 in Lowellville, Ohio, the daughter of Phillip and Clara (Labrie) Bellanca. She was a 1951 graduate of Lowellville High School and always enjoyed monthly dinners with her classmates. Josephine devoted her life to caring for her family and was an excellent cook and baker. She was known for her biscotti cookies, maple twist, and Easter bread. She volunteered for Easter Seals in the past, and more recently, was a member of the Rocky Ridge Block Watch. Josephine was a lifelong member of St. Brendan Church where she was a Greeter, as well as a member of the Altar and Rosary Society where she helped with Bingo, card parties, and other fundraisers. She leaves to cherish her memory, her children, Lorraine (Tom) Suttle of Downey, CA, Edward (Shelley Wishka) Rapcinko of Austintown and Yvonne (Roy) Yamasaki of Lake Forest, CA, her brother, Phillip Bellanca Jr. of Palm Springs, CA, her sister, Nina (Bellanca) Eager of Cathedral City, CA, her grandchildren; Tod (Napua) Suttle, Brian (Tanya) Suttle, Matthew Suttle and Jason Rapcinko and her great-grandchildren; Hannah, Hailey, Grady, Wyatt and Luke. She also leaves behind her long time companion, Emil Tondy, as well as a huge network of friends. Besides her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband Edward A. Rapcinko. A Memorial Mass will be held on Saturday, July 29th, 11:00 AM at St. Brendan Church. Josephine will be laid to rest at Calvary Cemetery.
