Julius Klepec Sr.

Julius Klepec Sr., 84, of Girard passed away Friday December 2, 2016, peacefully at his home, surrounded by his family. He was born October 2, 1932 in Slovenia, the son of George and Josephine (Pezdirc) Klepec. He worked at Ohio Leather for 17 years and as a Press Operator at Commerical Intertec for 23 years before retiring. He was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard, avid gardener, and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. Julius leaves to cherish his memories, his wife of 57 years, Anna (Zunic); children Anthony (Tracey) of Austintown, Julius Jr. of Girard, John (Jodi) of Canfield; grandchildren Evan, Katie, Ashley, Joseph, and Sarah; sisters Malka Molek of Slovenia and Anna Bell of Pennsylvania; and brothers Louis (Maria) of Hamilton and Anton (Ann) of Florida.Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Josephine Knez. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday at 11 a.m. at St. Rose Church, preceded by a prayer service at 10:30 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home. Friends and family may call Monday from 5 to 7 p.m. at the funeral home.
