Kathleen (O'Connor) Houck

Kathleen Houck, 93, formerly of Girard, died Wednesday December 14, 2016 at Shepherd of the Valley in Niles. Kathleen was born April 9, 1923, in Alliance, Ohio, the daughter of the late Francis and Catherine (Zink) O'Connor. She was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald. She spent her life lovingly caring for her home, her family, and her friends. She was a member of Girard Senior Citizens and she participated in numerous golf and bowling leagues. Kathleen leaves her children, Karen Houck of Houston, TX, David (Linda) Houck of McDonald and Donald (Elaine) Houck of McDonald; grandchildren; Kristen (Todd) Flere of McDonald, Courtney (William III) Kunkel of McDonald, Stephanie (James) Carmean of Louis Center, Ohio and Donnie Houck of Cuyahoga Falls, Ohio, and great-grandchildren; Brock and Kylie Flere, William Kunkel IV and Evelyn Carmean.  Kathleen was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Houck, whom she married November 11 1942, passed away October 10, 2012 and by her sisters, Janice Emery and Jean Dillon. The family would like to thank the staff at Shepherd of the Valley in Niles for the care and compassion given to Kathleen during her stay.
