Kathleen Marie Kopacz, age 67, after spending the last week of her life with family and friends, passed away Monday, September 12 at the Hospice of Dayton.
Kathy was born January 12, 1955 in Youngstown, Ohio and was the daughter of the late George Bernard “Bundy” and Lynette Callahan Miller.
Affectionately known as “The Queen”, Kathy’s family and friends were amongst the most important things in her life and her lifeblood. Those who knew Kathy knew her most precious moments were with her husband, sons and their wives, and nothing would stop Kathy from seeing her beloved grandchildren. In addition, Kathy had a wonderful and special relationship with all thirteen of her siblings and many nieces and nephews. From going on family vacations to Myrtle Beach, attending family celebrations, and the FaceTime calls with her sisters meant so much to Kathy. Kathy will be remembered for her love of life, being the best listener, a shoulder to cry on, and loving everyone she met.
Kathy leaves behind her loving husband, Tom, “Bo” to whom she was married for 44 years; her loving sons, Tommy (Emily) of Oakwood, and John “Johnny Boy” (Jamie) of Columbus; and her special and beloved grandchildren, Eleanor and Henry. She also leaves behind brothers Bundy Jr. (Barb), Danny, Jimmy, Paul (Mandy), Tommy (Julie) all of Youngstown, John of Gastonia, and Billy (Karrie) of Avon, Ohio; her sisters Marilyn Miller and Patty (Lou) Rohach of Youngstown; Rosemary (Chris) DeMain of Maumee; Janet Lincoln of Huntington Beach; and Lynette (Bill) Whipple of Lake Forest, CA.; and many nephews and nieces whom she held so dearly to her heart.
She is preceded in death by her sister Nancy Miller and brother in law, Jim Lincoln.
A Memorial Mass will be held on Friday, October 14th, 11:00 AM at St. Edwards Church in Youngstown.
