Kenneth W Cross

Kenneth W. Cross Sr., 51, of Girard, passed away at his home on November 19, 2016. He was born on June 12, 1965 in Wichita, Kansas. Ken was a self-employed properties owner. He was a member of Girard First United Methodist Church, where he was a former Trustee for the church and was also a former Boy Scout Leader. Ken had a deep love for his church family and boy scout family. He enjoyed being in the outdoors and fishing and always had a plan for the day. He was an avid Cleveland Browns and Indians fan and enjoyed collecting coins, playing games and watching movies. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Angela J. (Rhodes), whom he married November 21, 2003, his father Russell Cross and his wife Domitila, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, his children, Kenneth W. Cross Jr. of the US Air Force,, Brittany (Quinton) Williby of Ft. Worth Texas, Donna Rhodes of Girard, James Rhodes and Matthew Cross, both at home, grandchildren, Leanna Cataline, Sykarra and Syraiah Williby, brothers, Robert J. Cross of Warren, Amer R. Child of Albuquerque New Mexico, Steve Melius of Akron, Quinten Melius of Howland and Howard Melius of Lynchburg, Virginia, many aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his mother, Janet (Mae) Melius and a stepbrother John Melius. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 22, 1:00 PM at Girard First United Methodist Church. The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 12:00 PM until the time of service at the church. Ken will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
