Leo C. "Bud" Lawrentz, 84, of Liberty Twp., passed away on Friday, March 17, 2017, at the Hospice House in Poland, Ohio. Bud was born September 3, 1932, in Pittsburgh, PA., the son of the late Guy and Winifred (Schmidt) Lawrentz. He had worked for 40 years at General Fireproofing in supervision. After retiring, Bud fell in love with woodworking, and made beautiful furniture for his family and friends, and wooden toys, for the love of his life, his grandson. Bud was a member of the Saxon Club and the First Christian Church of Girard, where he sang in the Praise Quartet for many years. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, Joyce (Heller) Lawrentz, whom he married sixty-six years ago on March 17, 1951, his children; Deborah Burlingham, of Medina, Pamela Lawrentz, of Girard, Douglas Lawrentz, of Cortland and Michele (Bill) Moore, of Brecksville, Ohio, grandson, Alexander Moore, brother, Robert Lawrentz of Grove City and many nieces and nephews. As per Bud's wishes, there will be no services.
