Leslie Duane Brode Sr.

Leslie Duane Brode Sr., 76, of Liberty Twp., passed away on Monday, June 8, 2015 at his residence.  Leslie was born July 2, 1938 in Ravenna, Ohio, the son of the late Raymond and Jennie Skilton Brode. Leslie retired in 2006, after working 42 years for Norfolk Southern Raiload as a brakeman and retired as an conductor. He enjoyed trains, working on cars, and in his earlier years he enjoyed bowling. He leaves to cherish his memory, his wife, the former, Jacqueline Himes, whom he married October 7, 1960, his children; Jill (Carmen) Acierno, of Lordstown and Leslie D. (Chandra) Brode Jr., of Coldwater, Ohio, brothers; Ronald Brode of Boardman and Gene Brode of Lordstown, grandchildren; Carmen Acierno III, Jacqueline Acierno,  Devin Brode and Addison Brode.  He is preceded in death by his brother Paul Brode. Memorial services will be held on Friday, June 12th, at 2:00 PM at Church Hill United Methodist Church 189 Churchill-Hubbard Rd. Youngstown, Ohio 44505 with a luncheon to follow. Family and friends may call from 1:00 PM till time of service at the church.
