Linda C. Butcher, 70, of Mineral Ridge, Ohio ran the good race, fought the good fight, and kept the faith until May 9, 2014 when she passed away at UPMC Presbyterian Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pa. Linda was born, July 21, 1943 in Salem, West Virginia, a daughter of the late Kermit and Harriett Harbert Davis. Linda devoted her life to her family as a wife, mother and grandmother as well as having various jobs over the years. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church in Girard, where she was a member of the Dorcas Circle, and also was a volunteer for the Rescue Mission. She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, Gerald C. Butcher, whom she married April 27, 1963, her daughter Cheryl Armstrong, husband Norman, of Liberty Twp.; and her son Joseph Butcher, wife Jayme, of Wexford, Pa.; brother Lewis Davis of Salem, West Virginia,; grandchildren Marsha Faustino, Jessica Little, Adam Little, Gavyn Armstong, Carolynn Armstrong, Philip Armstrong, Silas Armstrong and Avery Butcher, and a great-granddaughter Avalenna Faustino. Linda is preceded in death by her sisters, Leah, Kermetta and Elaine. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, May 13th, 4:30 pm a the First Presbyterian Church. Calling hours will be from 2:00 pm until the time of service at the church. Linda will be laid to rest at Floral Hills Memorial Gardens in Clarksburg, West Virginia. Ceremonies will take place at the cemetery on Thursday, May 15th beginning at 11:00 am. The family requests any material contributions be made to the Rescue Mission of Youngstown: 2246 Glenwood Ave., Youngstown, Ohio 44511.
