Linda E. (Salsgiver) Slimmer

Linda E. Slimmer, 74, of Girard, passed away on Tuesday May 31, 2017 at her residence. Linda was born July 26, 1942 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Norval and Sannie (Trunbull) Salsgiver. Prior to retiring in 2003, Linda worked as a dishwasher for Page's Family Restaurant. Linda loved playing cards and sitting on the porch reminiscing with her neighbors.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Robert J. Slimmer, whom she married August 19, 1962 and died June 15, 1987.
She leaves her children; Kimberly A. Kagerise of Washington and John R. (Lenora) Slimmer of Girard, her siblings; her four grandchildren; Crystal Morgan, Jessica Bates, Joey Kagerise, and Dylan Kagerise, and her eight great-grandchildren; Mark, Cameron, Justis, Destiny, Johnathan, Ryan, Sadie, and Oliver.
Besides her parents and her husband, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter Christy Lynn Kagarise.
Funeral services will be held Saturday at 12:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends from 10 AM until the time of the service.
