Lois J (Kelly) Bednar

Lois J. Bednar, 85, of Liberty Twp., passed away on Wednesday, September 11, 2019, at her home. Lois was born July 20, 1934, in  Tarentum, Pennsylvania. Lois was a 1952 graduate of Elderton High School and retired from Ravenna Arsenal as a skilled laborer. She was a member of St. Mary's Byzantine Catholic Church, in Youngstown, and a member of the Wildlife Conservation Club. Lois enjoyed crossword puzzles, and watching her daytime shows, but she especially enjoyed her quality time with her grandchildren. She leaves to cherish her memory, her son, George T. (Dealeigh) Bednar, of Liberty Twp., her grandchildren; Tia Mosko, Tyler Mosko and Cameron Bednar, sisters; Terry (William) Miller, of Chester,West Virginia and Elizabeth (Kenneth) Ferguson, of Bradford, Pennsylvania, Tammy (Jeff) Heslop, of Fowler, who was like a daughter to her, and several nieces and nephews and great-nieces and great-nephews. Besides her mother, Leila Kaplon, she is preceded in death by her husband, George P. Bednar, whom she married October 10, 1959, and died September 17, 1993, and her grandson, Cade Bednar. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 21st, 12:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service. As per Lois's request cremation has taken place and she will be laid to rest at Belmont Park Cemetery, next to her husband.
