Lois J Lloyd

Lois J. Lloyd, 86, of Niles, formerly of Girard, died Sunday March 10, 2013 at St. Joseph Hospital.  Lois was born June 5, 1926 in Vandergrift, Pa. the daughter of the late Murray and Ivy Bowser Wallace.  She had worked many jobs in her lifetime and last worked for K-Mart in Boardman in the pharmacy department for 13 years retiring in 1998.  Lois was a 1944 graduate of Girard High School, a member of Coalburg United Methodist Church, S.C.O.P.E. in Niles and former member of Liberty Senior Citizens. Her greatest joy was her family. She took pride in never forgetting a birthday or anniversary. She is survived by her sons John P. (Shirley) Lloyd of Liberty Twp, Richard Lloyd of Cleveland and Mark H. (Cheryl) Lloyd of Poland, daughter-in-law Eileen Lloyd, granddaughters Michelle (Michael) Coleman of Lakewood and Bailey Marie Lloyd of New York City, grandsons Michael (Maureen) Lloyd of Poland, Matthew (Jenny) Lloyd of Girard, R. Bryan Lloyd and Paul (Rossy) Lloyd of South Carolina, Austin (Kathleen) Lloyd of Ravenna and Patrick Lloyd of Bahrain, USN, and 7 great-grandchildren.  She is preceded in death by her husband Paul J. Lloyd whom she married February 7, 1948 and died June 2, 2000, and brothers Jack and Richard Wallace.  The family wishes to thank her faithful companion of 13 years, Millard Wilson, for his devoted love and care.  Funeral services will be held on Wednesday March 13th, 11:00 AM at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard with interment to follow at Churchill Cemetery.  The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday from 6-8PM at the funeral home.  The family requests any material contributions to be made to the church memorial fund.  Visit www.blackstonefuneralhome.com to view this obituary and to send condolences to the Lloyd family.
