Louis Paolone, 85, of Girard, passed away on Thursday, August 29, 2019 at his home. Louis was born June 13, 1934 in Girard, the son of the late Sylvester and Angeline (Mortarro) Paolone. He was a 1952 graduate of Girard High School, and proudly served his country in the Air Force refueling squad in 1952 until 1956. Louis worked at Packard from 1958 until his retirement in 1990. He was president of the 717 Labor Union in the eighties, and was a member of St. Rose Church. Louis greatest joy was his children, and spending his time on his front porch. He leaves to cherish his memory his loving daughter, Barbara (Donald) Sampson of Mineral Ridge, his sister, Betty Bayer of Boardman, his grandson, Louis Paolone and his beloved companion, Jackie Barr of Girard. Besides his parents Louis is preceded in death by his son, Michael Paolone, his daughter Kathleen Phillips, his brother, Tony Paolone, his grandson, Eric Paolone, and his granddaughter, Kyla Carrillo. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, August 31st, 11:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service.
