Louise T (Kowardy) Pavlock

May 18, 1925 — September 3, 2016

Louise T. Pavlock, 91, of Girard, passed away on Saturday, September 3, 2016 at Liberty Health Care Center. Louise was born May 18, 1925 in Spangler, PA., the daughter of the late John and Amelia Savage Kowardy. Louise had previously worked for Meidings Drug Store, Girard A&P, and Dr. Loeser and Dr. Dickstein as a medical assistant. Louise was a member of St. Rose Church in Girard. She enjoyed going to Avon Oaks and dancing there. She also helped her son in anyway she could, whether it was selling tickets there or just helping out as his "gal Friday" with the businesses.  Louise is survived by her children, Darlene Pavlock and companion Donald Marino of Girard, Bernard L. "Bernie" Pavlock and wife Nouhad of Girard and Brian F. Pavlock and wife Peggy of Warren, brother Frank Kowardy, sisters Veronica and Bernice, five grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Bernard Pavlock Sr., whom she married August 17, 1946 and died September 23, 2004, three sisters and four brothers. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 7th, 12:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday from 11:30 AM until the time of service. Louise will be laid to rest next to her husband at Churchill Cemetery.
