Margaret Rose Hochadel

Margaret Rose Hochadel, 87, formerly of Girard, died Monday January 2, 2012, at Liberty Health Care Center. She was born November 2, 1924 in Dillonvale, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph and Mary Reisch Smith.  Margaret was a homemaker, and a member of St. Rose Church. She enjoyed crafts and was devoted to her family.  She is survived by her children, Penny (Mark) McClintock of Liberty Twp., James F. Hochadel of Frederick, Maryland, Joseph A. (Cathy) Hochadel of Dayton, Ohio, Peggy Hochadel of Grove City, Ohio, and Patricia (Mark) Manente of Dayton, Ohio, sisters, Cecilia Hulse of Mays Landing, New Jersey, and Agnes Lloyd of Dennison, Texas, eight grandchildren, Jessica Harvey, Megan Kish, Nicole Manente, Rhiannon Manente, Rachel Manente, Leslie Naeve, and Joey Hochadel, six grandchildren, Jalen Harvey, Paige Thompson, Noah Harvey, Tori Manete, Ben Manete, and Colton Kish.  She was preceded in death by her husband Joseph E. Hochadel whom she married September 7, 1946 and passed away March 11, 1986, brother, Joseph "Corky" Smith, and grandson Zachary Leahy. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be held on Friday January 6, 2012 at 11:00 AM at St. Rose Church. A Family time of reflection for Margaret will be held at 10:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home with a prayer service at 10:30 AM. The family will receive relatives and friends on Thursday from 5-8 PM at the funeral home. Interment will be held at Forest Lawn Cemetery in Youngstown.
