Margaret May

Margaret Jean (Martin) May , affectionately known as Marge, 82 of McDonald, Ohio, passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones and family dog Tazer on January 9, 2025. 

Marge was born February 24, 1942 to Marion Halliday and John Martin Sr. in Youngstown, Ohio. 

She graduated from McDonald High School in 1960, married and became a homemaker and later in life a full time nanny. 

Marge was a member of Our Lady of Perpetual Help Church in McDonald. She loved going to mass. 

Marge loved sports, the Ohio State Buckeyes, Buffalo Bills and especially the Cleveland Cavaliers. She rarely missed a game. She also loved spending time with her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, watching court TV, game shows and shopping. Marge loved all the holidays and decorating for them. 

Marge had three daughters, Robin (Tom) LaRoche, Linda May (deceased) and Debra McCale. She resided with her brother Daniel O'Donnell, Christy (niece and caregiver) & great nephew Brendan Lunce and beloved dogs Ava and Tazer; her grandchildren and great-grandchildren included Robert (Holly) McNees, Stefanie McNees, Kasie May, Alexis (Thomas) Perrotta, Courtney Kutsch, Taylor (Corey) Kutsch-Yoakam, Alexander, Talon, Ava, Willow, Raelynn, Paisley, Phoenix, Gwen, Adalynn, Tom Jr., Riley and Peyton and numerous nieces and nephews. 

Marge is preceded in death by her parents, brother John Jr. and daughter Linda and the family dog Ava. 

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, January 14th, 5:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 4:00 until the time of service. 

Marge will be laid to rest at Resurrection Cemetery in Youngstown. 

The family suggests any memorial contributions can be made to: St. Jude Children's Hospital or Hospice of the Valley.
