Margaret "Peggy" McCann

Margaret A. (Peggy) McCann, 78, of Girard, passed away on Friday February 27, 2015 at the Hospice House after a two year battle with leukemia. She was born December 2, 1926 in Niles, Ohio, the daughter of the late Patrick Lee Perrone and Dorothy Soda-Perrone-Blair. Margaret retired after 37 years from Packard Electric as a Cutter and Inspector. A lifelong resident of the area, she was involved with the Liberty School Football booster program many years in official roles including President. She is survived by her children Frank McCann with whom she made her home with, Edward (Chris) McCann of Howland, Patricia Krolopp of Girard and David (Reiko) McCann of Warren, sister, Carmel Blair of Akron, brothers, George, Dennis and Roylee Blair all of Florida, and six grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Franklin D. McCann whom she married July 29, 1955 and passed away on October 30, 2003. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Tuesday March 3, 2015 at 11:00 am at St. Rose Church. A prayer service will be held prior to the Funeral Mass at 10:30 am at Blackstone Funeral Home. Family will receive relatives and friends on Monday from 5-7 pm at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Margaret will be laid to rest at Niles Union Cemetery.
