Margery Quirk

Margery Ann Quirk, 95, of Austintown, formerly of Liberty Twp., passed away on Monday, November 14, 2016 at Austinwood Manor Nursing Home. Margery was born July 23, 1921 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Harold and Gladys (Cottrell) Monroe. Margery had worked several secretarial jobs in her lifetime including ServiClean Co. in Youngstown and Stambaugh Thompsons in the Liberty Plaza. She and her husband William, moved to Ft. Myers, Florida  and Margery lived there for 16 years, moving back to this area in 2006. She loved to square dance and her and Bill were members of the Rambling Squares. She was also a former member of the  Sunrise Chapter Order of Eastern Stars and had been an officer for the home owners association in Ft. Myers. She is survived by her son, William M. (Kay) Quirk Jr. of Columbiana and grandchildren, Dr. William (Melissa) Quirk, Michelle (John) Sherman, Jodi (Korey) Pelkey and Patrick (Nikki) Quirk and nine great-grandchildren. Margery is preceded in death by her husband, William M. Sr., whom she married October 28, 1941 and died September 8, 1991, her son David A. Quirk and a granddaughter Nikki Picotte. Private funeral services will be held on Thursday at the Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard. Margery will be laid to rest next to her husband and Belmont Park Cemetery.
