Marilyn R. Snyder, 81, of Dayton, formerly of Girard, passed away March 23, 2022 at Hospice House of Dayton after a brief illness. Marilyn was born February 1, 1941, to the late Harry and Ethel Brown, in Youngstown, Ohio. She was a graduate of Liberty High School class of 1959.
Marilyn was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend. Marilyn was a member of the First Christian Church of Girard and the Nifty-Fifty, former member in the Girard Junior Women, and “The Garden Club”. She enjoyed spending time with her granddaughters, watching college basketball, and playing bingo.
Marilyn leaves to cherish her memories her children, Janice Snyder of Beavercreek, Ohio, James H. (Jerilyn) Snyder Jr. of Girard, and Lisa (George) Quinn of Girard; granddaughters, Lindsay Snyder of Girard and Kelsey Snyder of Columbus; brothers, John Brown and Walter (Susan) Brown of Vienna, along with many nieces and nephews.
Along with her parents, Marilyn is preceded in death by her husband, James H. Snyder Sr., and her brother, William Brown.
The family will receive relatives and friends on Tuesday, March 29th, from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, with a funeral service to follow at 12:00 PM. Marilyn will be laid to rest at Girard City Cemetery.
