Marjorie E Miller

Marjorie E. Miller, 83, of Girard, died Wednesday September 18, 2013 at St. Elizabeth Hospital.  She was born April 3, 1930 in Girard, Ohio the daughter of the late Thomas E. and Florabelle Fortney Haines.  Marjorie was a operator for Ohio Bell in Youngstown for 11 1/2 years.  She is a member of the First Christian Church in Girard and American Legion in Celina, Ohio.  She had a passion for music and playing the organ. She is survived by her step-son Charles Miller of Celina,Ohio, Sisters, Ruth Hovis of Girard, Jeannette (Joseph) Verner of Tennessee, and niece Nancy (Anthony) Markota of Struthers, Carole (Edward) Kubrin of West Chester, Ohio, Barbara (Marty) Smith of Manchester, TN, Sandra Verner of Tulahoma, TN,  Dr. Sheri (Jeff) Prestwich of Tulahoma, TN and step-niece Karen Sample of New Mexico.  She was preceded in death by her husband Clyde C. Miller whom she married May 23, 1953 and died September 29, 2009 and sister Leah Sample.  Funeral Services will be held on Monday September 23, 2013 at 11:00 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home.  Family will recieve relatives and friends on Sunday from 3-5 PM at the  funeral home.  Interment will be held at Girard City Cemetery.
