Mary J. "May" Forte, 92 of Girard, passed away Saturday October 27, 2012 at Liberty Health Care Center. She was born July 22, 1920 in Girard, Ohio the daughter of the late Joseph & Rose Sherock Forte. Mary worked at McDonald Mill during WWII, Fusco Dry Cleaners in Girard and at Hills Department Store at the Liberty Plaza as a Clerk for 24 years retiring in 1990. She was a member of St. Rose Church. She is survived by her brother, Fred (Ann) Forte, niece Mary Cunningham who was her caregiver, several nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and great-great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, sister, Agnes Mills, brothers, Eugene, Joseph, James and Charles Forte. A Mass of a Christian Burial will be held on Wednesday October 31, 2012 at 10:00 am at St. Rose Church, preceded by a prayer service at 9:30 AM Blackstone Funeral Home. Family will recieve relatives and friends on Tuesday from 5-7 pm at Blackstone Funeral Home. Family request in lieu of flowers that material contributions be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Interment will be held at Girard City Cemetery.
