Mary "Liz" (Ridel) Hake

Mary E. "Liz" (Ridel) Hake, 97, of Liberty Twp., passed away peacefully on Friday, December 15, 2017 at her residence. Mary was born October 10, 1920 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of Joseph N. and Emma M. (Lucas) Ridel. Mary had worked at Poland Countryside Furniture in Liberty Twp. for awhile, but most of her life as spent taking care of her family. She was a member of St. Rose Church. Mary loved gardening and cooking and always enjoyed cooking meals for her family. She leaves to cherish her memory, her sons, Russell Hake, with whom she made her home, and Paul (Michele) Hake of Liberty Twp.,her brother, Edward Ridel of Hubbard, three grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Mary is preceded in death by her husband, Norman Hake, whom she married March 19, 1934 and died April 18, 1999, her daughter, Alice Zagotti, daughter-in-law, Christina Hake, sisters; Marie Ridel, Mildred Minehart and Genevieve Carey, and brothers; Norman and William Hake. Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 18th, 2:00 PM, at Blackstone Funeral Home in Girard, where the family will receive relatives and friends from 1:00 PM until the time of service.
