Mary Frances "Fran" Jones, 80, of Kernersville, NC, formerly of Girard, passed away on Wednesday August 29, 2012 at Kate B. Reynolds Hospice Home in Winston-Salem, NC. Fran was born May 25, 1932 in Youngstown, Ohio, the daughter of the late Joseph and Ann Miller. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Rose Church in Girard. Fran is survived by her sons Dominic (Louise) Zizzo and William F. Jones, both of Kernersville, NC, step-daughter Geri (Jack) O'Connell of Girard, two grandchildren Jim Zizzo and Shawn O'Connell, one great-grandson Jack and sisters Karen Gruber of Boardman and Patty Klim of Poland. Preceded in death was her husband, William F. Jones Sr., whom she married July 6, 1962 and passed away on May 22, 2003, a son Michael Jones and brothers Joseph and James Miller. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday Sept. 1, 2012, at 10:00 AM, at St. Rose Church preceded by a prayer service at 9:30 AM at Blackstone Funeral Home. Interment will take place at Girard City Cemetery. The family requests any material contributions be made to the Alzheimers Association in Fran's memory.
